About the Author

Marie was born in Cameroon, West Central Africa, where she lived with her family. She is the eldest child and the only girl among three brothers.

Marie became an orphan at the age of eighteen. After finishing high school, Marie studied educational psychology at the University of Buea. In 2011, she moved to Australia, settling in the state of Victoria, where she lives with her young son.

Marie has a background in community services and mental health. She is the CEO and founder of Meloso Childcare For All Projects, a not-for-profit organisation that subsidises childcare for migrant and refugee families who wish to engage in the labour market and improve their financial stability.

Marie is also the founder of Student Employment Services, an online employment platform that provides employment services for current and past students in Australia, as well as international students. It is also a platform for employers who are seeking workers in all areas of their industry. This project will be launching soon.

With a heart for the well-being and development of all children, Marie is also working on launching her next children’s picture book titled The Parent.

Marie's passion lies in creating opportunities for people experiencing vulnerability and allowing them to succeed regardless of their background or circumstances.
